Mid-Carolina High School

On Thursday, October 18, the MC Cross Country team traveled to Clinton High School for their final regular season match. The Rebels took first place in both the girls and the boys races.  Jon Lawson Cope took first place in the boys race with a personal record time of 18:28. Samuel Trainor took eleventh place with a 19:59 and David Rodgers finished shortly behind him with a PR of 20:28. The boys team had a strong showing with seven PRs and one season PR. Cameron Wicker won the  girls race blowing out the competition with a time of 20:42. The girls team dominated with five runners finishing in the top 7. Caroline Matney finished 4th overall with a time of 23:09 - PR, Sara Black finished 5th overall with a time of 23:38 - PR, Haley Thomason was 6th overall with a time of 23:39 - PR, and Claire Hawkins was 7th overall with a time of 23:47. The girls had six PRs and one season PR. The Rebels will travel to Oasis Farm in Greenwood on Saturday, October 26 to compete in the Region Championship.
