On Saturday April 27th the Mid-Carolina High School Junior Class hosted An Evening of Mystery: A Vintage Masquerade Prom.
Throughout the week, the prom committee gathered during lunch activity period and after school to construct decorations and set up a wonderful ballroom scene in which the students could dance the night away.
At 8pm Mrs. Harmon and Dr. Kibler opened the doors to welcome students dressed in their best threads and dancing shoes. Once greeted, students headed to Mrs. Frick and Mrs. Haltiwanger to get signed in and vote for Prom King and Queen before heading down the dim lit hallway to Dr. Vac's wonderful selection of music and heavy hors d'oeuvres prepared by Mrs. Wise and Mrs. Caldwell.
As the students danced away, Mr. Cooper, Mr. Fultz, and Mrs. Finley managed the food table throughout the night to provide extra energy.
At half past 10, Jack Gantt was crowned Prom King with Alice Allnutt crowned as Prom Queen.
The Prom Committee would like to extend gratitude to Mr. Sebastian Rodriguez for his help throughout the prom and afterwards with the clean-up.
Without the help of Mrs. Delesandro, Mrs. J Long, Mrs. Dominick, SRO Ringer, SRO Graham, SRO Kierstead and SRO Watkins prom would not have been successful.
A special shoutout to Ms. Carpenter, Mrs. Aquilano, Mrs. Morillo, and Ms. Leslie Minick for helping to chaperone the prom. We also appreciate the help the Facilities Maintenace crew provided while setting up Friday.
