On Thursday, October 17, Piper Haskett (9th grade) represented the Mid-Carolina Girls Swim Team at the SCHSL State Swim Meet. To compete at this meet, swimmers must obtain qualifying times. They then compete against all other 1A, 2A, and 3A swimmers that have qualified in the state.
Piper cut 0.23 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle for a 28th place finish. She also cut 1.42 seconds on the 100-yard butterfly for a 20th place finish.
Overall, the MC Girls Team finished 22nd in the state.
