Last night was our final swim of the regular season. We celebrated Emily Allen before the meet and recognized her parents Joe and Kimberly Allen and welcomed her brother back from college. Emily has been swimming for NHS for six years and has been the captain for the past two seasons. Next year Emily plans to attend Anderson University and study graphic design. We then swam against Airport, Brooklyn-Cayce, Newberry Academy, Mid-Carolina, and Richland Northeast. Our girls rocked the blocks and came out on top of all five opponents. The AA/AAA time cuts were made:
2 Automatic State Cut Times
8 State Consideration Times
I will send state rankings out later, but here is a full recap of events.

Special thanks to:
- ALL SWIM PARENTS for your constant support, financial contributions to the concession stand, volunteering for timing and officiating meets, driving swimmers to practices and the invitational, and MOSTLY for raising such amazing young ladies. I truly couldn't do it without you.
- Mem Davis for running concessions at all home meets and constantly supporting our team!
- Lindsay Boozer & Taylor Harmon for designing, collecting money and orders for our Swim Team Fin Club shirts & showing up to take pictures, time, and cheer on these young ladies
- Meagan and Dianne Hartness for being our only non-parent cheer section at the Blatt last weekend
- Mr. Cromer for coming to a cheer us on at our second meet.
- Mr. Shaw for volunteering to time during our meet on September 8th
- Beta Club for allowing members to set up, time, and clean and alleviate parental burden of running meets
If I left someone out, I apologize. I either didn't see you while in the midst of my coaching duties or my Thursday afternoon brain is just spent.
Our eyes are now on the AA/AAA State Championship hosted at the North Charleston Aquatic Center next weekend October 9th.
